Short answer: CT Mobility is white-label car rental software: a customer app under your brand, an operator console and a fleet app for technicians. Customers verify their ID, book, pay a deposit, sign the handover act and unlock the car by phone. Launch takes about 15 days; keyless pickup needs a compatible device in each car. Pricing is on request.

What does car rental software from CT Mobility include?

CT Mobility is a white-label platform for rental companies that want bookings, payments and handovers in an app instead of at a counter. It has three parts on the same data.

  • Customer app. A native iOS and Android app under your brand: registration, ID verification, real-time availability, booking, payment and support chat.
  • Operator console. The control panel: fleet map, bookings, pricing, zones, remote control of the fleet and a CRM for clients, payments, rides, documents and reports.
  • Technician app. The fleet management app: vehicle status, condition photos and tasks such as washes and oil changes.

How does a digital car rental work, step by step?

  1. Register. The customer creates an account and passes ID and driving licence verification.
  2. Choose. The customer picks a car, the rental period and add-ons such as car delivery or full insurance, and sees the full price.
  3. Deposit and agreement. The deposit is taken in the app and the vehicle acceptance certificate (the handover act) is signed digitally.
  4. Pickup. The customer photographs the car, records existing damage and unlocks it with the phone.
  5. Rental. Location, mileage and fuel level are recorded; your team sees the car on the map.
  6. Return. Photos again, fuel and mileage recorded, the car is locked and the rental charges are calculated automatically.

Bookings can be assigned to cars automatically, so staff do not match each reservation to a vehicle by hand.

Tariffs, rental durations and deposits

  • Durations. From one day to multiple years, including monthly rentals and subscriptions. The same fleet can also run car sharing with per-minute and hourly tariffs.
  • Pricing. Dynamic pricing, special offers, discounts, promo codes, loyalty and referral programmes.
  • Deposits. You set up the deposit; the customer pays it in the app before the rental starts. Unpaid invoices and refunds are handled in the back office.
  • Extra options. Car delivery and pick-up, full insurance and GPS are chosen during booking and included in the price shown.

Payments run through Stripe, PayPal, Apple Pay and other providers; see billing and payments.

How do keyless pickup and return work?

After the booking is confirmed, the customer opens and locks the car from the phone. The command goes from the platform to the telematics unit in the car, so rentals can start and end 24/7. Bluetooth access keeps the digital key working in underground parking. The key is given only to verified users and only for the booked time, and operators get alerts about ignition or door opening outside a rental. More on keyless car access.

API and integrations

The Open API manages rentals, vehicle status and user balances from your own systems and sends real-time events through webhooks. ID verification, payments and messaging services are listed under integrations.

Limitations and what to check first

  • Hardware. Keyless rental needs a compatible telematics unit, such as Teltonika, in each car. Compatibility is checked per model; hardware is quoted after we review your vehicles.
  • Testing. The keyless flow is tested on your cars before go-live, so plan device installation within the roughly 15-day launch.
  • Your terms. Deposit amounts, damage charges and fuel rules are yours to set. The platform keeps photos, readings and the signed certificate as evidence; it does not decide disputes.

Frequently asked questions

Can customers rent a car without visiting a counter?

Yes. Customers register, pass ID and driving licence verification, choose a car and add-ons, pay the deposit and sign the vehicle acceptance certificate in the app. At pickup they photograph the car and unlock it with the phone; at return they take photos again and lock it. Rental charges are then calculated automatically, so no counter or key handover is needed.

Which rental durations and tariffs are supported?

Rental durations run from one day to multiple years, including monthly and long-term rentals and subscriptions. Tariffs can use dynamic pricing, special offers, discounts and promo codes, with loyalty and referral programmes on top. The same fleet can also run car sharing with per-minute and hourly tariffs, so one platform can serve both kinds of customer.

How are deposits handled in the rental app?

The operator sets up the deposit, and the customer pays it in the app before the rental starts, next to the rental price and any add-ons. Payments go through providers such as Stripe, PayPal and Apple Pay. The back office has tools for unpaid invoices, refunds and deposits, and you decide under your own rental terms what is charged against the deposit.

Do all cars need telematics for keyless pickup and return?

Yes, keyless pickup and return need a compatible telematics unit installed in each car, for example from Teltonika, and Bluetooth access can be added for places with weak mobile coverage. Compatibility is checked per car model, the hardware is quoted after we review your vehicles, and the full keyless flow is tested before launch.

How long does it take to launch a car rental app?

A typical launch takes about 15 days from agreement to go-live. In that time the app is set up under your brand and your tariffs, cars, zones and rules are configured. The cars also need their telematics units installed and tested, so the hardware schedule should be planned alongside the software setup.

How much does car rental software from CT Mobility cost?

Pricing is on request and depends on the number of vehicles, the vehicle types and the hardware you need. Telematics devices and installation are quoted after we review your vehicles. Rental companies in Dubai and the rest of the UAE can see published prices and the pilot offer on our UAE car rental software page.
