AI for operators

AI Car Sharing Platform: Run Car Sharing with Answers in Plain Words

CT Mobility is a white-label car sharing platform with AI built in. Your team asks about cars, trips, zones, tariffs and payments in plain words, in the control panel or in ChatGPT and Claude, and gets answers from your own platform data. The same platform runs free-floating, station-based and corporate car sharing, and scooter and bike sharing.

Short answer: An AI car sharing platform is car sharing software where your team asks questions about its own fleet data in plain language. In CT Mobility that means the AI Data Assistant in the control panel and Ask your fleet, a built-in MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients that is available to connect on request. It is built for car sharing operators, companies with corporate car sharing and scooter or bike sharing operators.

Two ways to ask your sharing fleet

In the control panel. The AI Data Assistant answers questions about your data in plain language: trips, revenue, vehicles and usage, without building a report or writing SQL.

In ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients. Ask your fleet is the MCP server built into the platform. Add your installation address + /mcp in your AI client, sign in with your own employee login, and hold a full conversation with the platform: questions about vehicles, trips, customers, payments, fines, zones, tariffs, technicians and alarms, and changes when you allow and confirm them.

The two work as steps, not as a replacement: quick answers inside the panel, and a full conversation with actions in the AI tool your team already uses.

What you can ask: operations, finance and support

  • Operations: “Which cars had no trips in the last 3 days?” “Which vehicles have open alarms right now?” “How many trips ended outside the allowed zones this week?” “What tasks does each technician have open today?”
  • Finance: “Revenue by tariff last month compared with the month before.” “Which customers have failed or overdue payments this week?” “Show unpaid fines for September, grouped by driver.”
  • Customer support: “Why was this customer charged for 40 minutes of parking?” “Which trips of this customer ended outside the allowed zone?”
  • A change, with confirmation: “Raise the weekend tariff in zone Marina by 10%.” The AI shows what will change for customers and waits for your confirmation, and only if your login allows tariff changes.

The AI answers from your platform data and can only see and do what your login is allowed to.

The fleet data the AI assistant answers from

Operator console overview: vehicles that need attention, fleet utilisation, active rentals and revenue in AED
Technician app task list with priorities, due times and the distance to each car

Fleet overview. Utilisation, active rentals, revenue in AED and the cars that need attention: the figures the assistant reads when you ask about your fleet. Technicians get a prioritised task list.

Trips and events. Every trip is stored with ignition, door and speed events, so a question like “who drove this car on Tuesday?” has a recorded answer. Damage reports become tasks for the team.

Free-floating, station-based and corporate car sharing

The same platform and the same AI layer serve every sharing model. Free-floating and station-based operators ask about zones, trips and payments. Companies that run corporate car sharing for their employees ask “Which pool cars had no trips this week?” or “Who was driving car #214 on 12 October at 14:30?”; in the UAE see pool car management.

Scooter and bike sharing operators use the same assistant for their micromobility fleet, for example to list scooters with open alarms or rides that ended outside the allowed zone. More on scooter sharing software and the white-label car sharing software itself.

Smart automation that runs without asking

Some work does not need a question at all. These are rules you configure in the platform, not AI:

  • Radar: when no car is nearby, the app keeps searching a chosen radius, notifies the user when a vehicle becomes available and can book it automatically.
  • Zones on a schedule: zones can be switched on and off automatically, and a scooter that leaves the drive zone can have its motor blocked.
  • Alerts become tasks: alerts can be turned into tasks for your field team automatically, and technicians get notifications and reminders in their app.
  • Rule-based discounts: automatic discounts for low-demand vehicles and off-peak hours, set by you.
  • Automated checks: customer ID verification through providers such as Sumsub, and a trip record with route, time and photos for every rental.

What the AI does not do

  • It does not set prices or move cars by itself. Demand heat maps show where trips start, and your team plans rebalancing tasks for the field staff.
  • It does not change tariffs, unlock cars or send commands without your confirmation, and only if the employee allowed changes when connecting.
  • It does not use cameras or scan cars for damage. Condition is documented with photos taken before and after each trip.
  • It does not replace your operations team: it answers questions and prepares the actions you ask for.

Security and permissions

  • Your login, your rights. The AI works as the signed-in employee and sees and does only what that employee may see and do.
  • Read-only by default. Changes and commands need your permission when you connect and your confirmation each time; commands such as unlocking a car also record a reason.
  • Audit log. Every call is recorded: who, when, which tool, the arguments with secrets masked, and the result.
  • No copying in the background. The MCP server runs inside your CT Mobility installation and does not copy your database or send data anywhere on its own. The AI receives only the data needed to answer, within the employee’s permissions, under your AI provider’s terms. You choose the provider.

Availability

The AI Data Assistant is part of the control panel. Ask your fleet is available to connect on request: we enable the MCP server per CT Mobility installation. Book a demo to see both on our demo fleet, and ask us about connecting yours. Read how fleet managers use ChatGPT, Claude and MCP, or see the AI car rental software page for rental companies.

Frequently asked questions

What is an AI car sharing platform?

It is car sharing software where operators can ask about their own fleet in plain language and get answers from their platform data. In CT Mobility this is the AI Data Assistant in the control panel and Ask your fleet, the built-in MCP server for ChatGPT, Claude and other MCP clients.

How does AI car sharing work for operators?

Your team asks a question, for example which cars had no trips in the last 3 days, and the AI answers from live platform data within the employee’s permissions. Changes such as a tariff update run only after confirmation, and every call is written to the audit log.

Can ChatGPT or Claude connect to our car sharing back office?

Yes, through MCP, the open standard for connecting AI tools to other software. You add your installation address + /mcp in ChatGPT, Claude or another MCP client and sign in with your employee login. It is available to connect on request.

Does the AI change tariffs or unlock cars on its own?

No. The connection is read-only by default. Changes and commands need permission when the employee connects and confirmation each time, and commands such as unlocking a car also record a reason in the audit log.

Does it work for corporate car sharing and pool cars?

Yes. Companies that share cars between employees can ask, for example, which pool cars had no trips this week or who was driving a car at a given time, within their own permissions.

Can scooter and bike sharing operators use it?

Yes. The same platform runs scooter and bike sharing, and the same assistant answers questions about those vehicles, trips, zones, alarms and payments.

Is AI car sharing available in Dubai and the UAE?

Yes, for operators and companies in the UAE, on request, with a team in Ajman. CT Mobility provides software to operators and companies; it does not run a consumer car sharing service.

Does the platform predict demand or rebalance cars automatically?

The AI does not forecast demand or move cars by itself. Demand heat maps show where trips start, and your team creates rebalancing tasks for the field staff.
